Our team includes a Developmental Paediatrician, Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist, Clinical Psychologist, Early Interventionist, Special Educator, Remedial Therapist and Physiotherapist. All rehabilitation professionals are certified by the Rehabilitation Council of India and work together using a case based, multi disciplinary approach.
The young brain is highly responsive to therapy and stimulation. When developmental issues are detected and treated during the early hidden or evolving stage, before the condition becomes fully established, the outcomes are significantly better and the effort, time and cost involved are far less. Waiting until a problem is fully manifested makes treatment harder and slower.
Our CDC provides early intervention and rehabilitation for cerebral palsy, motor development delay, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), sensory processing disorder, speech delay, learning disability, intellectual disability including genetic syndromes, and behavioural issues.
Early intervention can begin as early as two weeks of age. At Mar Sleeva Medicity Palai CDC, we follow up preterm babies, low birth weight babies and NICU graduates from two weeks onwards, with developmental check ups at five months, speech and autism screening at 18 months, and pre learning skill evaluation before school entry.
A Child Development Centre (CDC) provides early detection, assessment and intervention for children with developmental concerns such as delayed milestones, speech delay, autism, ADHD, learning difficulties or behavioural issues. You should consider a visit if your child is not meeting age appropriate milestones in walking, talking, social interaction or learning, or if your paediatrician has recommended a developmental evaluation.
